Meadow at St Francis Woods Garden

Looking back at old posts of this garden, I realize I have been working here since 2016, about nine years.  But lots of work needed to prepare the site before any plants were added just two years ago.  This is the first autumn the plants have reach a good mature size.

An assortment of flowering perennial and annuals.

Aster, Sweet-Peas, Geum, Salvia with some grasses

Same bed looking South.

Along the back, looking North, a line of Ruby Red Tea Tree and narrow row of flowers.

The eastern bed gets the hot afternoon sun which is extremely important in foggy San Francisco.

The loose exuberant growth of the annuals and biennials helps to pacify the green carpet.

The huge Salvia sclarea on the left will be repeated.  Sow last fall and over-wintered in four inch pots.

The white clary Sage is well worth the effort.
