Originally visited on July, 9, 2014 and potentially a destination for Road Trip 2026.

With roots in the 16th century, Barrington Court has had many influences over the last 500 years. The gardens includes a walled garden, kitchen garden along with the large estate surrounding the house. Early restoration of the gardens began in the 1920’s with the help of Gertrude Jekyll and whose plan was only partially executed into the Arts and Crafts form. Later on in the 1980’s the owner added more of Jekyll’s planting to the garden. This was what it looked like in 2014 when I last visited Barrington Court. (Somerset)
