Fling Tour - Cocktail Hour

I didn’t record the name of this garden.  A residential garden with an incredible view and some stylish elements.  a fun place to end the long day and relax with a drink and some nibbles.   Mount Rainier on the horizon.

Looking up from the street there’s a tiny front garden planted with a variety of textures and conifers along with lots of boulders and river stones.

Cloud pruned Dawn Redwood.

On the terrace level with the living space, looking across the patio up the hill.  Lots of work to clear and prepare this slope and then planted maximalist.

Fountain brought to life in video.

I don’t often talk about money or budgets.  This garden seemed to have an unlimited budget with lots of exception stone work, artifacts and a refined and coherent plant palette.

The upper parts of the garden were fun to explore drawn by this huge stone hut, or sculpture.  It looks precarious but it is well constructed.

Rock work was evident everywhere in this garden.  All match with a good eye for color.  My one small critique in both the front and back garden was this placement of large round river stones.   In a few places, there was too much of the same sized rock.   A river or stream bed will have a spectrum of various sizes set in a foundation of sand or grit.   The photo above and the second to last photo show this.  The next few photos look more authentic.   Small details but overall, an exquisite garden.
