Memphis Fling - First Day

East Memphis neighborhoods and parks including the botanical gardens, Sexton/Thornton and Dixon Gallery.

To see the Second Day of Memphis Fling

Mimosas at the Memphis Botanic Garden

Monarda fistulosa 'Claire Grace'

I found the meadows the most pleasing.  Both the Monarch Meadow with its milkweed or the Goldfinch meadow with all the asteraceae gave me delight.

Opalescent of the Magnolia

The afternoon took us to five other private gardens in far east Memphis.

Echinacea is the flower of the tour.  (Don’t know about the official vote and I don’t care)

Dixon Gallery and Gardens

And back downtown for the evening.

  1. You're staking your hat on the purple coneflower - a solid pick for the official Fling Plant. ;)
